As 2013 Approaches

Almost a day to the new year. For many of us it is now a time of reflection. Some people are now comparing predetermined objectives with actual achievements for the year 2012. Everyone is making resolutions. Yeah that is really cool. If your variance is large (actual achievement is less than predetermined objectives) you have to ponder on the right steps to take to make it right. Insanity is doing the same thing over again and expecting a different result...Think about it.. Calm down don't rush your way through this post. It contains a lot but one word is needful for that particular change to erupt..
2013 would be a great year for you if you just give youself to God's word concerning everything even the smallest thing....Even what to wear...Seriously.... What i'm trying to say is that you get a vision (long term)... Make plans on how to get there and remember there are stages. What should i do differently this 2013:
Habakuk 2:2- 'write the vision and make it plain on tables let him run that readeth it'
If you don't have anything dying for you would fall for anything.
Also you need to keep on confessing it- where do you want to be in 5,4,3 years from now.... What significant change do you want in 2013.... As far as your eye can see that is where you can go. Remember to always back everything you do with God's word and prayer. Your 2013 shall be great in Jesus Name!! Are You Ready for Greatness? Start speaking it

What Motivates you?

It is quite obvious that a lot of people see life just as period to hustle, make money have fun and one day die. They get married, have many children, hustle to send them to school and on and on the chain continues from generation to generation. These children are brought into existence by such parents with such orientation would never get the deeper meaning of life.

In some areas of the world, life is seen as the survival of the fittest. God created every human being for a purpose and put a particular talent in everyone. All achievements by people today did not just happen all of a sudden. They found the purpose of their lives by asking God for it. If you do not find the purpose of your existence you can never make an achievement or even if you end up making it you would never feel fulfilled with your achievement.

What can I make out of life? There are no jobs in the country. I have a certificate and it is useless to me. Can I ever achieve anything? This are the issues that bother people in the present. Yes you can make achievement even without working under someone. You could start something new by discovering that which you possess that no one or only few have. You can only become a success if you believe in success. What you become is what you think. Positive thinking is a trigger for achievement. The bible also says ‘As a man thinketh in his heart so is he’ Prov 23:7

The mind can also be a source of failure because at times when you are close to achieving you might just have the thought that it is not possible. Note this ‘the tougher it gets the closer you are to achieving your pursuit’. Imagine you are the point of just taking the last step to achieving your greatest dream and you give up- this means all your efforts have being in vain. Failure is a sign that something went wrong; it is not time to give up but time to get it right.

Open your heart to the lord that is a God of achievement. Jeremiah 32:27 says ‘Behold, I am the Lord of all flesh. Is there anything too hard for me?’ There is nothing impossible for the lord. He exhibited his power in the life of a barren woman Sarah who gave birth at a very old age. As you were formed in your mother’s womb the lord had already known your future but it is left to you to search it out.

To be great you would have to do the extraordinary. To get the prize you must pay the price. The race of life is for the brave. Discover yourself and you would be able to discover your purpose and then the possible ways to achieve it. You would also need strong pillars for support in achieving your dream and living behind a legacy to be followed by others. David Solie regarded legacy as the unique footsteps you leave behind after you die. That is your legacy-the standard you set in the world behind.

‘Keep your heart with all diligence, for out of it spring the issues of life’ -Proverbs 4:23

Christmas is here again and it is a season of joy. We celebrate the birth of Jesus who is the word made flesh. Compliments of the season to everyone. Just remember in the midst of the merriment the main reason behind Christmas. Remember to show love, help the needy and have great fun. You could go visiting or invite people over and show great hospitality. Remember the Joy that the Birth of Jesus brought to the world....Shalom.. Merry Christmas everyone..

Giving Life a meaning

Compliments of the season to y’all. Had a lot of fun early yesterday going through my timeline on twitter with the whole 21-12-2012 issue as postulated by the Mayans as regards the end of the world. I gave a huge laugh to this. I’m very sure God was laughing up there too....lol. Today I would like to give you an extract from one of my writings ‘traceable footsteps’. Every creature was created for a purpose. No living thing under heaven was created for no reason. Jer 1:5- in your mother’s womb I knew you and I have ordained you a prophet. That was God talking to Jeremiah. He is the same God yesterday, today and forever-Heb 13:8. This implies that whatsoever he said to Jeremiah then still implies to us now.

With this impression in mind you have to make life worth living to you. Before any achievement, purpose has to be known. Why am I here? The answer to this lies in a quality work with your maker. Many people have lost their lives without discovering the potentials hidden inside them. Myles Munroe once said that the richest place is the cemetery, because a lot of great people and talents have been buried there.

Every hour in life counts; never say you are too young and keep on procrastinating. Procrastination is one of the greatest killers of destiny. Life is an individual race and nobody can live it for you. Run through this illustration with me; I would be using an imaginary person, this is also what so many people out there ask themselves every day.

‘Why was I born?’ Instead of ‘why am I here?’. The question why was I born is a statement with no regard to life. Such a person wishes not to have been born. This is not meant to be so. God is a God of purpose and he did not create anyone by mistake. You are a product of your thought pattern; whatever regard you give life would go a long way in effecting change in the world out there.

Always have this in mind; there are many lives attached to you. Whatever decision you make today will either affect lives positively or negatively. Go everyday with this question in mind ‘have I put a smile in the face of someone today?’ Embrace life and it would always smile at you. Learn to make a meaning out of your life, do not be a spectator in life but be the main actor.  

To give life a meaning you need to go deeper into yourself and ask yourself some crucial questions. This is referred to as inner conflict; what do I mean? It is a normal thing for anyone who is about to make a self development activity to have mind battles but you can make this possible by separating yourself. Examine this scripture-Romans 12:2 ‘be not conformed to this world but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind’. Paul a preacher of the gospel wrote to the Romans and here he is telling them that, renewing your mind is your own personal thing.

It would please you to know that God actually created every one for a purpose and He is the potter. What a great revelation! Get this point into your spirit; in the book of Genesis 1:28, God gave man a 5 fold mandate which is Be fruitful, multiply, replenish the earth, subdue it, have dominion. A general purpose right and then there was the fall of man. That was not the end but God sent Jesus as a propitiation for our sins and we were renewed ‘translated into the light’ Glory to God!. To be at the best God wants you to be you have to be submissive to God by a relationship with Jesus. A man with a passion can never get distracted. Get a passion and a vision and run with it.

Why am I here? In the beginning the world was without form and void, look at verse 26 of the first chapter of Genesis “And God said let us make man in our own image”. This would be the part one of this article. Stay in touch for the next part. Stay blessed.

2. Mark your calendar

3. Re-read your underlines

4. Apply whatever material you read immediately: hear something-you forget it, see something-you remember it, Do something you- you understand it

5. Prioritize what you want to learn and pursue.

Practical example is that of Thomas Edison-

He set a goal to come up with a major invention every six months, a minor invention every ten days. When He died he had 1092 US patents and 2000 foreign patents.

Charles Schwabb was given a million dollars for this advice

i. Make a list

ii. Make your priorities right

iii. Do your list

Just these tips profited billions of dollars.

Quote for today "There is no joy in victory without running the risk of defeat" though as a Believer it would always be Win Win Win.... Hallelujah.

Success code

What is success? If I have one billion dollars in my bank account does that make me successful? I would want you to answer this question yourself after reading this. First of all misconception has it that success is spontaneous. If you believe that then you need to have a rethink. They are series of events that lead to success. I would make this very brief and complete. If you are not developing or improving on what you were yesterday in terms of achievement then you don't call that success. Once again, does having one billion dollars in your account make you successful?
The secret to success is provoking your spirit to set your gaze and target on nothing less than success. In other articles I would throw more light into the topic of 'Success'. Parting word ' Success is like a golden jewel that is tied around the neck of an angry lion, you must despise all dangers to get at it'.
